its okay
David (unkown) 3/10/2010 7:27 AM
it need some better music such as: SKILLET(comatose, whispers in the dark, live free or let me die, collide, falling inside the black, monster, hero, awake and alive, its not me its you) not only better music but more music also it would be nice if you could chose characters or make your own character like on guitar hero in stead of just having a picture there it also needs better graphics

great game, but should be oriented towards teens, not their parents
storm94 (Iowa) 2/27/2010 7:27 PM
this is a great game--similar enough to guitar hero to make it just as fun, yet clean enough to be able to play without wincing or turning down the volume. The one problem--it needs more/better ROCK MUSIC. Because although many parents would be ecstatic to have their kids listening to classic bands like Bride, Whitecross or Petra, or soft bands like Caedman's Call, Paul Baloche or Josh Bates, we all know that most "kids these days" are not satisfied with the same stuff older people are. For example: most teenagers /cannot/ relate to the "Backslidin' Blues", let alone be a "Shredding Machine" while playing it. (Although my sister tries to jump around and headbang to that song, it really just...doesn't work.) But there is some really good music out there from bands that exist to glorify God and let the world know about Him. And although the lyrics might not be as simple as "Praise God", and the music might be a bit louder, a lot of teenagers can relate to and find God in music like this: SKILLET (Collide, Comatose, Whispers in the Dark, Awake and Alive, Hero, My Obsession, Better Than Drugs) FLYLEAF (Penholder, Ocean Waves, I'm Sorry, Breathe Today, Chasm, Fully Alive, Much Like Falling, All Around Me, Again, Beautiful Bride, Swept Away) SWITCHFOOT (Awakening, Dare You to Move, Your Love is a Song, The Sound, Meant to Live) UNDEROATH (Some Will Seek Forgiveness Others Escape, In Regards to Myself, To Whom it May Concern, Too Bright to See, Too Loud to Hear) THOUSAND FOOT KRUTCH (Absolute, Falls Apart, E for Extinction, Slow Bleed) PILLAR (Frontline, Turn it Up) DISCIPLE (Shine Down, After the World), POD (Youth of the Nation, Alive, Satellite) or even HASTE THE DAY, RED, NORMA JEAN, PROJECT 86, DECYFER DOWN, AS I LAY DYING or EMERY. ;)

Needs Help
spyder (TN) 2/13/2010 3:17 PM
This is a great game but the creators should have a section to take requests/suggestions...for instance, they have solid rock which has some rock but mostly contemporary christian music...nothing wrong with that...and all the songs were pretty big hits when they first came out but it would be nice to see the chance to provide consumer input. i for instance would like to see the game expand to support various game consoles (ps3, xbox, wii, etc.) and also provide various packages for different genres of music...i am hoping to see an update providing more metal oriented music, such as Demon Hunter, Underoath, and some of the harder skillet songs and such. also more advertising would be good and would most likely attract more publicity and a bigger audience...the only place ive seen this game is online and very few christian bookstores and i know there are more people out there that would love to have a game like this but just dont know it even exists. I was the same way untill i was introduced to the game and when i found it i was more than excited, but i also know that the production of the game takes more work than most of us might know and cant expect everything we ask of the creators.

Finally!!
Danny (Holland) 1/8/2010 1:50 PM
It´s just great! I have waited a whole month and now I finally have it... It´s cool but still needs work, like songs of Falling Up, Hillsongs United, more Relient K, Skillet (Album Awake), more Nevertheless, Philmont, Run Kid Run, Pillar (Album For the Love of the Game, Fireproof, Confessions), more Red. I read somewhere that Digital Praise was going to complete Guitar Praise with Drums and Vocals, could this be true?

good alternative!
Cheryl (KY) 12/26/2009 11:18 AM
My oldest son just left for Afghanistan and left behind his guitar & games... Much to the delight of his brothers & sister and the dismay of his parents! To quote the Grinch, "All the noise, noise, noise!" haha! So, we bought Guitar Praise for Christmas. We love it!! One issue we've found though. It's running it on Windows ME, so maybe that's why some of the features on start up don't work, and we can't access the user guide. (Need a print version) Thanks so much for the product, we recommend it over what our son left behind a million times over!!

why not on Xbox or WII
Just Praise (California) 12/10/2009 5:06 PM
why not on xbox or Wii who wants to keep having to connect to the computer. Will this company think about making it compatible for the xbox or wii or ps 2,or 3 -Editors note: When we have the budget and find a publisher, Digital Praise would love to develop on platforms.

I think it's kind of funny how when David Crowder Band plays foreverandever live they uses a guitar hero control, and that song is on this game.

Jamie Johnson (Rustburg Virginia) 12/5/2009 9:12 PM
This game sounds like it would be so AWSOME. I just wish that it was on Xbox 360 or PS3.I am so tired of all these other games not reconizing CHRISTIAN music. I mean i like playing some of the songs on guitar hero 5 but I really dont like some of the lyrcks to the songs. It would be nice to play something like DEMON HUNTER or SKILLET for once.

Enjoying
Mind (York, PA) 11/30/2009 9:16 AM
This is a good product, but can be confusing. There are certian things it is just like Guitar Hero in, and then things that it differs in that confused me. Like HOW DO I SAVE THE SONGS!?!? Otherwise I enjoy this, and it is a good alternitive to Guitar Hero. I agree with the fact we need more expansions, and I would like to see a collaboration with Creation Festival for a wide range of selections.

So we can only ever play this on the computer? I have a ps3 and so I'm guessing that they haven't come up with any version other then Mac or Windows?

Great,but.....
Seth (Yucca Valley,CA) 11/3/2009 8:54 AM
I have not yet bought the game, but it has all of my favorite bands on it!! It is a really great idea but could use a few improvements through my eyes: -It could use some drums. -Or lower the price, because I can buy Guitar hero world tour with guitar, drums, and mic for $70(Not saying I will over this.)whereas this is $90.(but has christian lyrics.)

Love It!
MaryG (Ontario, Canada) 10/8/2009 5:52 PM
I think the songs on this game are awesome! They are great songs for the younger (pre-teen) to be learning and getting into their heads. Especially when compared to the competition. I too would really like another expansion pack with say, praise and worship (Matt Redman, Robin Mark come to mind) or some older stuff (Stryper, Whitecross, Bride). I think you could go nuts with ideas and different kinds of expansion packs. Our 8 year old son has fully enjoyed this game and loves to play with his Dad. God bless you all for making such an awesome product!

Great Game needs more though
Darrell (Texas) 10/1/2009 3:16 PM
I was really stoked about this coming out. Especially when I seen the list of songs. It would be cool to have this on playstation 2 or even xbox. It was even better to see that Stryper made it on the expansion, My favorite band. I would like to see a metal expansion but of the 80's. Barren Cross, Bloodgood, Whitecross, Stryper, Recon, Deliverance, Holy Soldier, etc. Keep up the great games.

Guitar Praise and More
Cathy (DC) 8/29/2009 8:25 AM
Guitar Praise is good but would be Great with drums and vocals also. We need the whole band to Rock. Hope to see it soon.

Some good bands to put on expansion packs
Brandon (Tx) 8/19/2009 3:46 PM
Maybe add on some Casting Crowns, Third Day, Remedy Drive, Chris Tomlin, Building 429, Rush of Fools, ect. If you make it on a system make it where we don't have to buy the game all over.

Cool Game!
Jesse (Westville, OK) 8/7/2009 8:13 PM
I'm so glad that you guys made this! I love the songs! The guitar is fun and all but I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to sing along with the Christian groups. Please incorporate a mic (and drums) like Rock Band and Guitar Hero. That would sell like crazy! I know it! (I would buy it and I know a lot of other people that would, if it had a mic) They might buy it anyway, cause of the songs!

How about putting this on a Console?
jESUS fREAK (Ohio) 6/21/2009 7:01 PM
My family computer is extremely slow! I dont have my own PC and I don't think this game would run smoothly on my PC. The game sounds awesome but ever think about running it on a console: Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, etc?

Guitar Praise
Sharon (Delaware) 6/16/2009 12:49 PM
I think the music on it is Great. And now after playing this I see why Guitar Hero is so popular. I hope you add some expansion to it to keep the fun going. You need to work on the whammy bar though. Mine isn't working right and we've only been using it a couple of days. Other than that excellent game. Kudos

As a fan of Rock Band & Guitar Hero (though not of the music message in those games), I think this game is perfect for those of us Christians out there who want to play a game like the above, but have it be a good Christian message. This game is fun and challenging. It would be nice to see more expansions come out for it as well as perhaps a drum set for it. I also feel the graphics of the game are top notch and up there with current games. The part I liked is that there isn't a lot of glam and bling-bling that the other two games of this genre has. It's focus is having fun while getting a good Christian message in the process. Parents, this game is a win-win buy for your children.
